Renewable Energy Opportunities - Making it Happen

The following presentations were delivered at part of a set of workshops titled "Renewable Energy Opportunities - Making it Happen". The workshops were delivered in Russell, Minto, St. Malo, and Manitou between March 9 and March 21, 2007. They were sponsored by ManSEA with support from the Covering New Ground Program of Manitoba Agriculture Food and Rural Initiative (MAFRI) as well as local partners in each location. The presentations are listed in alphabetical order. Note: some of the files are very large.

“Renewable Energy Opportunities – Making It Happen”
A ManSEA Workshop


Participants will learn about renewable energy including such topics as:
  • Community based wind energy projects
  • Energy from biomass (wood chips and pellets, straw pellets, etc.)
  • Biodiesel energy production (energy production from canola, etc.)
  • Provincial and Federal energy policy
  • Next steps to “making it happen”
