Governmental Registration for Wind Projects

All wind developers need to register with the following two organizations if installing MET towers or anything that penetrates air space.

Transport Canada - Regulation 621.19 that outlines obstruction marking.

NAV Canada - All land use proposals are to be submitted to NAV Canada to ensure that the use doesn't interfere with navigational or telecommunications facilities.

Wind Atlas for Canada - Environment Canada's Wind Energy Atlas web site aims at developing new meteorological tools to be used by Canada's wind energy industry. It offers the possibility to browse through the results of the numerical simulations that were run on all of Canada in order to determine its wind energy potential.
